Grace Continues to Grow

This year Lahash is working with our partners in Uganda to build two new family-style homes for the orphaned children living at Amazing Grace Children’s Home.

As of August 22, the gables of the first home have been completed and raised! Pretty soon the rafters and tin roof will be ready to go up.

Our partner Susan Tabia just wrote the following:

“IWASSRU would like in a special way to thank Lahash International for this project that in the past couple of months has been a great success.

The children of Amazing Grace Children’s Home especially the teenage boys helped with the construction from the foundation level to the ring beam and wall plate level. The girls also did participate especially in fetching water during the initial stage.

In conclusion, IWASSRU is grateful to God that the building has reached the wall plate level. Roofing will start soon and it is our sincere prayer that God will see the building to completion. Special thanks goes to Lahash International for partnering with us and all those who have been involved in helping this building project become a great success. We will keep you updated on the final steps of the building.”

The progress has been amazing, and we’re so thankful for everyone’s involvement.  So far, just over $25,000 has been raised (out of $87,520 total for the two new buildings). It’s wonderful to be able to see the progress through our partners and staff on the ground, including Golda Poni, Edwin Angote, Will Campbell, and others.  Thank you all for keeping us in the loop so we can see God’s work in action!
