TRAVEL UPDATE! From July 13-August 3, Jen and her husband, Keith, and their four kids will be in Kenya with Lahash! You can get a good overview of the trip from this video if you want to know more.
“As a family, we will be part of the Lahash East Africa Conference, helping facilitate a week teaching, fellowship, worship, and training for the staff and volunteers from all of Lahash’s ministry partners across East Africa.
After the conference, our family will visit Nipe Tumaini Children’s Home in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. We will get to work with the Nipe Tumaini staff to put on a Bible Camp for the kids! Nate and Judah, our little guys, will be campers while the rest of us are helpers.”
The Johnsons are working hard to raise the needed funds for this trip. You can use the button below to access Lahash’s secure online giving page to support their efforts! Thank you.
Jen Johnson has felt pulled toward East Africa ever since traveling there in 1998 and 2001, so working as a Writer/Editor for Lahash is a welcome connection to that part of the world. She and her husband, Keith, started volunteering with Lahash in various capacities in 2010. In 2014, Jen joined the Lahash staff part-time to support the growing variety of storytelling projects carried out by the Media Team. She traveled to Kenya and Tanzania with the Media Team in October 2017, and looks forward to traveling with Keith and their four children (Leah 14, Kaya 12, Nate almost-5, and Judah 2½) in July 2018!
