09 Dec Lahash is Committed to Financial Integrity
During the Christmas season many individuals, families, and churches contribute toward the mission and work of Lahash International. On behalf of the vulnerable kids whom we serve in East Africa, our team would like to share gratitude for this generosity. The children we serve are some of the most vulnerable kids on our planet, and the transformation taking place both in spirit and body is remarkable!
Our entire extended network of staff, volunteers, and partners in East Africa remain committed to the highest levels of financial accountability and transparency.
Despite working in situations which are marked by extreme poverty, low levels of education, and high levels of societal and governmental corruption, we are united with our partners in discovering the best ways to steward our resources well.
We recently were awarded the Gold level from the non-profit listing service GuideStar. We are working to register with other ratings and accountability services as well.
When you give to Lahash you are assured of the following:
- Your contribution is considered a holy gift and is stewarded with respectful integrity.
- Our East African partners all participate in a yearly independent financial audit.
- Lahash utilizes 10% of each gift for U.S. operations. These expenses include bank and wire fees, credit card processing costs, postage, printing, and utilities for our office. We also utilize 5% of your gift for East Africa operations. These expenses cover the costs for our East African staff to train and empower our partners, conduct monitoring, and implement our yearly financial audit.
- We regularly post a Financial Annual Report and a copy of our IRS 990 documents on our website. Several years of past documents are also available on our Financials Page.
