19 Dec Give the Gift of Bible Camp
The children in the Lahash Sponsorship Program are given life-transforming opportunities thanks to their sponsors and the tireless work of the staff in East Africa. Their health, nutrition, and access to education improve. They are enfolded into loving, Christ-centered community and taught the ways of Jesus.
And Lahash wants to do more.
This Christmas season, Lahash is raising funds to send the sponsored kids to Bible Camps during the summer of 2016. These Bible Camps will be run by the East African pastors, counselors, and caregivers with whom we partner. The kids will have the full multi-day camp experience. They will learn Bible lessons, hear instructions for Christian living, and break into groups for essential life counseling that is incredibly rare in vulnerable poverty-stricken neighborhoods. Of course there will also be free time and games!
Children who have attended a Bible Camp in the past describe it as the highlight of their lives. They express to our team that they can’t believe that they would be loved and cared for this way! Many children decide to begin a relationship with Jesus at these camps or renew their spiritual commitments.
We’ve already raised over $4,000! That is enough money for 2 Bible Camps. But we have 3 partner ministries in East Africa, and we want to make sure each one can send their kids to a Bible Camp. Let’s give more children this wonderful opportunity!
The cost for an entire camp for 50 children is $2000. You can contribute the full amount, or contribute any amount toward this goal. Thank you for joining us in creating an unprecedented experience for these children that will impact them for life.
BIBLE CAMP FOR 50 KIDS
The Gospel gives hope! The gift of a Bible Camp shares that hope by equipping kids to deepen their relationship with Jesus. Through several days of Bible lessons, games, counseling, and prayer, each child is encouraged to grow in their faith and some choose Christ for the first time. Give to a portion of the cost or join with your church, family, or school to provide an entire camp.
