22 Mar Team headed to Tanzania this summer
What is the best way to impact communities in East Africa and play a role in caring for some of our planet’s most vulnerable kids?
The answer lies in strengthening local church leaders and providing tools and encouragement to assist East Africans in dynamic ministries across the region!
This summer Lahash will be gathering our ministry partners together for our 5th East Africa Conference in Mwanza, Tanzania. Our aim is to refresh and recharge these incredible partners from South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. We want to provide them with the best tools possible so that they can have an even greater impact in the lives of hundreds of kids impoverished by war, disease, and corruption. Transformation and hope are possible! But God must be leading the vision – and the movement requires a lot of diligence, prayer, creativity, and teamwork from everyone involved.
Our Lahash Conference will last a week. We’ll provide times for worship and discipleship during the mornings and evenings. During several sessions each day we’ll provide training in Christian Holistic Care (addressing how Christ heals all parts of our lives), Organizational Development, Sustainable Agriculture, Financial Training, and Healing from Trauma. The sessions will be taught by our staff, our partners, and a few outside speakers as well.
Our conferences are always a highlight of the year for our partners! This video from our last conference reveals the amazing impact a conference week can have.
Our partners shared these comments with us after our last conference:
“[The teachers] have given us light and direction to face the challenges that we face back into our organizations.”
“The conference was wonderful.”
“Thank you for the good job of preparing this conference. I am refreshed and happy.”
Please pray for our team as we bring all of the details together. We can’t wait to see what God does in our midst at this upcoming conference!
