Katie Nelson

Katie discovered Lahash in 2009, through a friend who was serving as the Sponsorship Director at the time. Katie had traveled to East Africa herself and wanted to get involved with a ministry that was working with children there. After volunteering for a couple of years, Katie joined the Lahash staff and has held various roles in the Sponsorship Program ever since. 

She loves working with the Lahash ministry partners and making connections between sponsors and kids, and she has contributed greatly to the growth and development of the program over the years. Katie and her husband Tim traveled from Portland to Rwanda in 2017 with their baby daughter, finding that all three of them were able to contribute to the work of Lahash in unique ways.
