Nizigama is one of the Lahash Stand With Students scholars, currently pursuing a degree in computer software engineering at the University of Dodoma in Tanzania. Apart from his studies, Nizigama has a great passion for sharing the word of God. Through his years as a “Lahash kid” the experience of God’s love took root in his life and has now grown to bear much fruit! We love to see this kind of impact as children grow up to become instrumental in local community life and in sharing their faith in Jesus with others. We are also thankful to Nizigama for taking the time to share such a personal update with our wider Lahash community!

by Nizigama, Lahash Stand With Students Scholar

I was born and raised in a humble Christian family and started learning about God at a tender age. Besides my Christian family background, I also believe that the discipleship and mentorship programs at Grace & Healing Ministry played a great role in shaping my Christian belief and my spiritual journey. These programs boosted my biblical knowledge and activated my interest for Bible study and evangelism.

My key interest is that everyone around me should know God. To some extent, I feel it’s my personal responsibility to share with people the word of God, point them to Jesus, and lead them on the path of salvation. I always have this feeling that compels me to share the word and try to draw as many people as possible to Jesus. I have witnessed the hand of God and the transforming power of the spirit in the lives of people I talk to. I often find it interesting to have discussions with my friends, relatives, and neighbors about God. I am humbled to attest that I am an evangelist.

Together with my ministry group members, we occasionally organize and hold evangelical meetings in the streets of Dodoma and sometimes carry out ministry work in other locations within Tanzania. We recently planted a new church right here in Dodoma and God has been so faithful. The membership of this new church is growing and has reached a total of 64 people!

I truly believe that in the coming days God is going to give me even more opportunities for service in his vineyard.

I will continue to speak the word through active evangelism and will always praise and worship God. I have a deep interest to lead a God-fearing life and serve God in whatever directions he leads me.

Our Stand With Students scholars are working hard at their studies while also positively impacting their local communities and giving the younger kids in the Lahash Sponsorship Program some amazing footsteps to follow in. Find out more at
